Dan Wilson Wagner

Dan Wilson Wagner, Sr., age 76, passed away on May 17, 2012 at his residence. Dan was born on April 22, 1936 in Johnson City, TN to Roby B. Wagner Sr., and Fannie K. Miller Wagner.

Dan was a graduate from Rising Sun High School and became a self-employed Cecil County School Bus Contractor. He was a member of Cecil County Bus Contractors and Maryland State Bus Contractors. Dan was also a member of the Conowingo Baptist Church having served as a Sunday School Teacher, Church Trustee and a Deacon. Dan enjoyed mechanical adventures, old cowboy movies and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Emma M. Robinson Wagner; sons, Dan W. Wagner, Jr. and his wife Diane, Thomas W. Wagner and his wife Sondra, Timothy J. Wagner and Steven D. Wagner; grandchildren, Karrie Wagner, Jessica Wagner and Gabe Holbrook; brother, Roy M. Wagner; sisters, Peggy A. Horton, Judy C. Thomas and Linda E. Menkins.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Grace R. Wagner; parents, Roby B. Wagner Sr., & Fannie K. Wagner; brother, Roby Wagner Sr.; sister, Beverly Murray and wife, Sara Jane Wagner.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm on Monday, May 21, 2012 at R. T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD. Service will be held at 12 pm on May 22, 2012 at Conowingo Baptist Church, 151 Rock Springs Road, Conowingo, MD 21918. Burial will follow service at Conowingo Baptist Cemetery.

Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends at this time. We have many fond memories growing up in Conowingo Baptist Church with Dan, Emma and the boys. Dan always had a smile and good word for you no matter how long it had been since you had seen him. One of my best memories was back in the early 80's; I had missed the bus again. Mr Dan pulled over on Rte 1 and said; climb in here boy and we'll get you to school and MAYBE keep you out of trouble with your Pop. Rest in peace my friend.
