Crystal M. Lunsford

Crystal Lunsford, 37, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away suddenly February 16, 2012.

Born in Lancaster, PA on February 16, 1975, Crystal was the daughter of William Hensel Sr. and Geraldine Hensel. She was a graduate of Rising Sun High School and received her L.P.N. from the School of Technology and was currently pursuing continuing studies in the nursing field. She enjoyed crafts and collected cat figurines, snow globes and anything related to Mickey Mouse. Devoted to her family, her son was the love of her life and she often organized “family game nights”.

Crystal is survived by her devoted husband of 17 years, Duane Lunsford; her son, Darrian Wayne Hensel; two sisters, Tabatha Hastings and her husband Kent of Kirkwood, PA and Stacey Hensel and her companion Joe Pannell of Rising Sun; a brother, William Hensel, Jr. and his companion Christina Winters of Rising Sun; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service honoring her life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday February 20, 2012 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. Friends and family may call at the funeral home beginning at 6:00. Burial wil be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family may be made c/o the funeral home.

Crystal you have always been a good person, a good friend to many and you were striving to reach your goals and dreams! For Crystal: I have not seen her in many years, but to know she has passed has brought on the tears. A sweet girl from school, many years ago. I remember her smile, and her beautiful face, Rest in peace, a child of God's grace. To her family: It pains my my heart to read this article of Crystal passing, She was a very nice person and had a warm heart. I pray that God eases your pain, and is with you, in this time of sorrow. as I wrote in the short poem, I went to school with her at Rising Sun, from elementary to junior high, and she was never rude or mean to me, as children and teenagers can be. I am sorry for your loss. You know that she is special when someone like myself, who has not talked to her in years, is very saddened to know she has passed. My condolences to her family. I want you to know that I sincerely mourn with you. She was a beautiful soul.
