Clifford V. West, Jr., “Cliff”, age 73, of Bear, DE passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2016.
Born May 29, 1943 in Wilmington, DE, Cliff was the son of the late Vernon C. West and Henrietta L. (Leithren) West. Cliff was a graduate of William Penn. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a hardworking man who loved Honda Motorcycles and was a member of the Retreads Touring Group. He once rode across the country on his motorcycle. He was also a member of the Local Union 313, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by his brother, Richard West; sister, Linda L. West; aunts: Mary Jo Leithren and Betty Basciani; and numerous cousins.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2PM on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are to meet at R.T. Foard & Jones, Funeral Directors and Crematory, 122 W. Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 at 1:00PM to leave in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the, “VFW Post 475 Newark, DE” and sent in care of the funeral home.
