He was a good friend and well respected. I remember I first met Charlie when I became Pastor of Franklin Baptist Church. I was visiting his mom, Ethel (she was in the nursing home in Elkton) when Charlie came in to be with her and feed her dinner. I learned that he was faithful to come every day after work to be with her at dinner time. I learned to not only highly respect him for his devotion to his mother, but his love for his family and his Lord. He shared many memories of his mom and dad when they attended Franklin Baptist Church for many years. I loved Charlie and his precious family and I will greatly miss him, but with the sure confidence that I will see him again in Heaven.
