Robert “Bob” J. Lewis, age 60, of Aberdeen, MD passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 surrounded by his family in Colora, MD.
Robert was born on November 1, 1951 in North Taswell, VA to the late Charles Huge Lewis, Sr. and Captola June (Harrison) Lewis. He served in the Army and was an Equipment Operator at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Edgewood, MD for 35 years. He was an avid Ravens fan and also enjoyed watching the Orioles. Bob’s family will tell you, he was his “own person” who “did everything you didn’t want him to do.” He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Shatley and husband David of Colora, MD and Melissa DeSouza and husband Leonardo of Fort Drum, NY; sister, Diana Keys and husband Gary of Pylesville, MD; brother, Rodney D. Lewis of Joppatowne, MD; 6 grand children and 2 nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles H. (Butch) Lewis, Jr.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 18, 2011 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will follow at Harford Memorial Gardens in Aberdeen, MD.
