My heart sank when I heard of Barb's passing. She was a strong and loyal co-worker. I remember my first day of employment at Laurelwood with her as my mentor. If it weren't for her kindness, patience and friendship I really don't think I would have made it. Prayers go out to her family during this time. I know she is at peace with the lord.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

In loving memory of Miss Barbara. She was always kind and welcoming to other people with a smile on her face. I loved to ask her to speak Ukrainian to me. :-) I looked forward to chatting with her after church. We will miss her dearly! God has another special angel in heaven.

Please accept my condolences to the family. Barbara sang in the choir at St. Basil's alongside my dear mother, Olga Boshonek. This is how I came to know Barbara Blendy. She was a woman of deep faith and conviction. She visited my mother in Union Hospital before my mother passed. I will always remember her as a person who contributed so much to those around her. I am sure she is in Heaven's choir now alongside my Mother.

Our beloved Aunt Barbara was a living incarnation of who I understand God to be...dynamic loving energy outpouring him/her self into creation. She spent her life giving to others: her mother and father, daughter, siblings, nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors and the many patients she cared for while working in a nursing home. Her warm and welcoming spirit will ever be etched in our hearts with gratitude and love. I can hope to honor her best by living out her example. On behalf of my immediate family, husband Andy and sons David & Paul we express our condolences to her daughter Barbara and to all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Aunt Barb, May the angels take you into paradise! Peace!
