Barbara Ann Wadolny, age 76 of Bear, DE passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019. Born January 25, 1943 in Pittston, Pennsylvania, Barbara was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Valkos) Derescavage. Barbara grew up in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, married and raised her family in Audubon, Pennsylvania before coming to live with her Son and Daughter-In-Law in Bear, Delaware, October of 2017.

As a homemaker, Barbara enjoyed hosting family events and Holidays at her home. She truly cherished time spent with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she adored. She also enjoyed her work with her husband being self-employed with The Busy Bee Arts and Crafts in Audubon, PA and Copy Express in Norristown, PA. Barbara was a social butterfly and loved striking up a conversation with just about anyone. When she wasn’t at home, she liked visiting the casinos to see what her luck would bring her. Barbara was also a lifelong member of The Valley Forge Chapter of The Pilot Club and volunteered throughout her community for decades.

Barbara is survived by her son, Alex Wadolny and his wife, Linda of Bear, DE; daughter, Sheree Scheler and her husband, Rick of Pottstown, PA; five grandchildren; Grace Wadolny, Amy Wadolny, Shelley McKinley, Mindy Chidawu and Jenny Zadroga; and seven great grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by her brother, Anthony “Sonny” Derescavage and his wife, Diane of Hatfield, PA and two sisters: Gerri Derescavage of Devon, PA and Evelyn Danenhower of Lansdale, PA.

On Wednesday, June 5, 2019 there will be a Reception in Church at 9:00 am, followed by Mass at 10:00 am, followed by a Memorial Luncheon in the Parish Hall at St. Isaac Jogues Parrish, 50 West Walker Road, Wayne, Pennsylvania 19087. Burial will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery where she will be at eternal peace along side her husband.
