Austin Cole Ellis, age 26 of Rising Sun, MD passed away in his home on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Born on April 14, 1993 in Newark, DE, he was the son to Bill Ellis and Jessica Crook.
Austin enjoyed skateboarding, playing darts and painting. He loved animals and listening to music. During the 6 years Austin lived in West Palm Beach, FL working as a waiter/bartender, he would often go scuba diving, even swimming with sharks. His greatest joy was grillin’ and chillin’ with his friends and family. Having a big heart, Austin will be remembered as caring, funny and will be missed by all that knew him.
In addition to his parents, Austin is survived by his sister, Kayla Ellis; maternal grandparents, Bill and Juanita Crook; aunt Barbara Kelbaugh her husband, Tim, and their son Jacob; aunt April Ahlers her husband, Tim, and their children Lilyan and Syndey; aunt Sarah Yalich her husband, Scott and their children Serena and Dylan; uncle Billy Crook his wife, Allison and their children Ashlynn and Kaitlyn; cousins: Thomas Ellis and Cody and Dylan Smith, and his beloved dog, Ringo.
Austin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Andrea and Bill Ellis, III; aunts: Anna Smith and Kelly Ellis; and uncles: Doug Smith and Jack West.
A celebration of Austin’s life will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may begin visiting at 5:30 pm. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Plumpton Park Zoo” and sent in care of funeral home, P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
