Allen D. “Tommy” Thompson, age 63, of Wilmington DE, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. He was born July 12, 1951 in Louisiana to the late Allen D., Sr. and Anna Weist Thompson.
A welder by trade, Tommy specialized in fabricating machines from designs of the manufacturers that employed him. He loved the machinations of cars, and had several ongoing projects to restore or rebuild the vehicles. In addition to his family, he will especially be missed by his constant canine companions, “Buddy” and “Stewie” who were always at his side.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karla; a son Richard “Rick” Thompson, of Wilmington, DE; and a sister Debbie Falco and her husband Steve, of Longwood, FL.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by two brothers, Dennis and David Thompson.
