Alice Edwards of Rising Sun, MD, age 77, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021. She was born in New York, NY on November 30, 1943 to the late John and Sarah (Blauvelt) Garren.
Alice was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Colora, MD, where she also worked as a teacher’s aide in the day care for 20 years. Alice was devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Alice is survived by her son, Thomas Edwards; five grandchildren: Austin, Dustin, Tommy, John and Sophie; former daughter-in-law, Beckie Combs; sister, Sarah Garren; sister-in-law, Brenda Garren; two nephews: Les Stahl and Michael Garren; and niece Sarah Scrudato.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Edwards; daughter, Lisa Edwards; sister, Virginia Stahl; two brothers: John and Frank Garren; and niece, Diane Schmidt.
A graveside service for Alice will be at 11am held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at West Nottingham Cemetery in Colora, MD.
