Willie Samuel Lyle, age 66 of Newark, DE passed away on Friday, September 20, 2019. He was born in Elkton, MD on June 13, 1953 to the late Walter Lyle, Sr. and Daisy Rebecca (Brown) Lyle.
Willie served his country in the Army and later became a mechanic in the National Guard. He was an avid fisherman and a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was very close with his family and had a special bond with them all. He was a loving brother, a great dad, and a great pop-pop. Willie enjoyed cooking for his family and was known for his fried foods such as: fried fish and fried pork chops.
Willie is survived by his sisters: Josephine Cassidy, Evelyn “Tiny” Webster, and Patricia Jackson; brothers: Fredrick Lyle, Sr. (Veronica), Marshall Lyle, and Jerry Lyle; sons: Darius Boyles (Erika) and Stacey “Pooter” Boyles; daughters: Satonia Boyles (Mike) and Sierra Boyles; 8 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Boyles; brother, Walter Lyle, Jr.; and sister, Irma Barnett.
A celebration of Willie’s life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Family and friends may attend the visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. The burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable “Christiana Care Center for Heart and Vascular Health.” and sent in care of the funeral home.
