Born on May 30, 1936, in Milford, he was the beloved son of the late William M. Doyle, Sr. and Elaine (née Bennett) Doyle.
Bill proudly served his country in the United States Army, including a stationing in Germany, an experience that shaped his lifelong sense of discipline, service, and dedication. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to protecting others as a firefighter with the Newark, Delaware Fire Department, where he was respected for his courage, knowledge, and steady presence.

Through this venture, he contributed to the development of fire suppression foam, helping to advance firefighting techniques and improve safety for both firefighters and the communities they serve.
Outside of his professional life, Bill was known within his family as the dedicated genealogist, carefully researching and preserving his family’s history for future generations.
