William “Billy” Carl Morris, 62, of Elkton, MD, passed away on January 6, 2025. Born in Wilmington, DE, in 1962, he was the beloved son of the late Ina Chambers and step-son of the late Jack Chambers.
Billy dedicated over a decade of his life to working as a custodian at the TA Plaza in Elkton, MD. Known for his strong work ethic and warm personality, he was cherished by coworkers and visitors alike. Billy had a knack for brightening the days of those around him with his kindness and gentle humor. A familiar and friendly face in the community, he was often seen walking or riding his bike through town, always ready with a smile and a wave.
A passionate supporter of the Baltimore Ravens, Billy rarely missed a game and loved cheering for his favorite team. Beyond his love for football, he found joy and solace in painting, a creative outlet that reflected his thoughtful and expressive nature. His artwork was a testament to his quiet talent and love for beauty. Billy’s presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his siblings, Deborah Swanson and Charles Morris; his step-mother, Beatrice Chambers; his step-brothers, David and Mike Chambers; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who will remember him fondly.
A Celebration of Billy’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Nazarene Church, located at 377 Nottingham Road, Elkton, MD. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his life and share memories. A private family burial will follow at Grace Lawn Cemetery.
