Wayne L. Calvert, age 54, of Elkton, MD passed from this life Sunday, November 3, 2013 at his residence.

Wayne leaves behind his loving wife, Amy Weaver of Elkton, MD; his loving brother, Henry Calvert and his wife, Mary Ellen of North East, MD; stepsons, David and Joseph; stepdaughters, Brittany and Stephanie; and grandson, Jeremy. He is also survived by a multitude of close family and friends whom he loved very much.

A memorial service will be held in Wayne’s honor at 1pm Friday, November 8, 2013 at Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 24 Cameron Rd., North East, MD 21901, where family and friends may visit beginning at 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made payable to Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church and sent to R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 E. Main St., Elkton, MD 21921.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Calvert family. I grew up down the street from him, and also attended school with him and his siblings. He was a very nice young man and he got along with everyone. He will be deeply missed.

Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and the family.

We have a wonderful memory of Wayne and Amy celebrating Mother's 90th birthday at Calvert Manor Healthcare Center. Amy had assisted her in preparing for her party, allowed her to walk into her party, and then she and Wayne sat with her and celebrated with cake and laughter. He charmed Mother with the twinkle in his eye and his obvious love of Amy.

Amy, my heart goes out to you. Sincere condolences to you and your families. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers and let me know if there is anything I can do. Wayne will certainly be missed at Bethel.

Wayne, you could light up a room! I will miss you saying " Come on SIS", will miss your double O 7's, your smell good cologne and most of all your contagious smile!
