To my Aunt Prudie and family , Uncle Wally was a great person who I will always remember. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. He was so full of life and always laughing, he made my time there enjoyable while I was stationed in Norfolk back in the seventies. He made me feel so at home and comfortable I felt I was apart of the family. I still remember him telling me while eating supper to have more bread , at the time I was too young or naive to understand. As I grew older I saw what a responsibility it was to raise a family and how he took care of his family. He raised his children the right way and made sure they all had access to college . That was one of the greatest things he did, which will live on past his time with his children and grandchildren.

To the family of Wallace Hansen or Mr. Hansen as I referred to him out of great respect.
We enjoyed seeing Mr. Hansen for his visits at the Wilmington VAMC. He was always smiling and pleasant. I looked forward to talking to him. He was a bright spot in my day.
He spoke often about the support that his children gave him and Mrs. Hansen. He was clearly proud of you all.
So sorry for your loss. I just wanted you to know that just thinking about him now, makes me smile!
Sincerely,
Lynn Morgan, NP at Wilmington VAMC.

Wally was a great friend to my parents, Ronnie and Gerdi Mounts. We are so sorry to hear of his passing and are thinking of Prudie and the rest of his family. Wally was a kind man who thought of others first. He called and visited my parents and spent time with the at The Dover German American Club and the Sangerbund. When my father was sick he came to visit him and called often. He checked in with my mom to make sure she was doing okay. His warm presence will be missed. Jennifer Greenman and Family

I saw this obit by accident today looking for someone else's. Wally was a friend of my parents, John and Marie Henry. He offered our family a lot of support when my father was ill in 2004 and has stayed in contact with my mother after my dad's passing. Wally and Dad both worked at Chrysler. He will be remembered fondly by my mother and the rest of the family.

Dear, dear, Wallace,
Although your brother, Henry, and I didn't get a chance to see you very often, you were always in our hearts and minds. When we did get a chance to visit you, you always entertained us with your hospitality and good spirits. We will never forget the happiness you gave us, and we will always love you. May you rest in peace and may God take care of you, until we see you, again, in heaven.
