Vera Settle (nee McNeice) 84, of Colora, MD was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday March 8, 2023. Vera was born In Northern Ireland on the 7^th of November 1938 and was the loving wife of the late Eugene Settle.

Vera left Northern Ireland in the early 1960’s and came to seek a new life in America and initially found employment as a secretary with Dupont until she married the love of her life Eugene in 1969. Vera, who had a Diploma in Agriculture from home, then for the next 39 years was a devoted wife who ran the family home and supported her husband in running a successful Dairy Farm at Colora.

Vera had a strong Christian faith and loved the Lord whom she faithfully served and often witnessed to His saving and keeping power to those she met and was a source of help to many a struggling soul. She will be greatly missed by her sorrowing brother, RJ and wife Vi, children Robert, Andrew and Deborah and their families.

Gods’ Word says   “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort, who comforteth us in all our tribulation …”

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Rising Sun Church of The Nazarene, -2626 Jacob Tome Highway, Colora, MD 21917. Burial will follow at Conowingo Baptist Cemetery.  Contributions in lieu of flowers to the Vera M Settle Trust, 2042 Colora Road, Colora, MD, 21917
