Thomas E. Hicks III

April 12, 1950 - June 20, 2012

Thomas E. Hicks III, age 62, of Elkton, MD, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Christiana Hospital. He was born on April 12, 1950 in Princeton, NJ to A. C. Reeves and Joan (Stewart) Hicks.

Ted worked as a property manager for Mid-America Management Company in Yeadon, PA. He loved John Denver music and was an avid Phillies fan. He was a loving husband and father and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 33years, Elizabeth Nelson Hicks; daughters, Kristen Hicks and her husband, Ryan Yetter and Katelyn Hicks; son, Thomas A. Hicks; and four sisters, Andrea, Lindsey, Daren, and Elizabeth Hicks.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Newark, DE. Friends and family may call beginning at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, c/o R.T. Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921.

Saddened by the sad news of the passing of a great man. I've know him through business for many years. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Beth and family, We are so saddened to hear of Ted's passing. You were fantastic neighbors in the Highlands, and we will always remember Ted for his friendliness, and for hosting the legendary pig roasts in the neighborhood.
