Sean Robert Wilson

Sean Robert Wilson, 50, of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. He was born on October 18, 1975, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Steven Alexander Wilson, Sr. and Claire Marie (Beluch) Wilson.

Anyone who knew Sean knew he had a passion for learning about anything and everything. Whether it was music, movies, aviation, history, computers, or science fiction, he always wanted to learn more. He could spend hours learning a new skill simply because he enjoyed it. He took in all the knowledge the world had to offer and found cool ways to use it. Everything he wanted to learn was one YouTube tutorial away from becoming another skill he added to his collection. Sean knew so much about so many different things that he was a walking encyclopedia to those around him. His conversations were unforgettable, and his knowledge made a lasting impact on the people he loved. How his brain always had room for more knowledge remains a mystery.

One of the things people loved most about Sean was talking with him. He didn’t just talk to talk, and he didn’t just listen so he could respond. He listened to understand. Whether you needed advice, wanted to learn something new, or simply wanted a conversation, Sean was someone you could spend hours talking with.

Sean also had a deep love for movies and television. He was a huge fan of science fiction, with the Alien franchise, Battlestar Galactica, and Star Wars among his favorites. He enjoyed looking at the writing, artwork, and special effects, often analyzing them like a writer or producer rather than just watching as a viewer.

Music was one of the biggest passions of Sean’s life. He taught himself to play guitar as a young teenager and even spent time playing in a band. He loved sharing music with others and always had a guitar nearby. And Sean didn’t just play guitar, he absolutely shredded. He worked to figure out the best way to play every song and didn’t stop until he perfected it. That same mindset carried through everything Sean did. He believed that with practice, anyone could learn something new. He didn’t just watch movies, listen to music, or have conversations. He studied them, learned from them, and worked to truly understand them. His curiosity and desire to learn were some of his greatest strengths.

Sean was also an amazing father, to his Daughter Silvie, and to his Stepdaughters-who became his family and he loved whole heartedly. He always pushed his family to be their own person, and lead meaningful, fulfilling lives. There aren’t enough words to describe how much he will be missed to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kind heart, curiosity, willingness to help others, and the conversations that could last for hours. He will be forever appreciated by all those fortunate enough to have learned something from him.

Sean is survived by his daughter, Silvie Wilson; his stepchildren, Morgan Lee, Kristen Lee, and Shannon Lee; his brother, Steven Wilson; his nephew, Finn Wilson; Girlfriend and mother of his stepchildren, Valerie Coy; and Mother of his Daughter, Nicole Cameron.

Private services will be held at the family’s request.
