Russell Howard Simmons, 77, passed away on the afternoon of March 30, 2025. He was born January 27, 1948 to the late Goldie Goldsboro Simmons and Pauline (Meredith) Simmons.

Russell grew up on the Chesapeake Bay and worked as a waterman. He enjoyed spending time with family, on and off the water as well as gardening in the spring.

Russell deeply cherished his family, he is survived by his children: Russell “Russ” Simmons Jr. and his wife Karen, Jessica Hodgson and her husband Danny; and his grandchild Abigal Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his beloved wife, Barbara.

Services with be held privately at the convenience of the family.
