Ruby Agnes Reeves, age 82 of Elkton, MD passed away on November 10, 2018. She was born on September 12, 1936 in Hinton, WV to the late Luther Edward Brumit and Virginia (Meadows) Brumit.

Ruby worked numerous jobs throughout her life. She was the first contracted woman to work at APG. She also worked for Ordinance building hand grenades for WWII and RMR making small motors. She cooked for finer restaurants, was an Executive Housekeeper, and most recently was a Walmart Greeter. Ruby was a spiritual woman and enjoyed listening to preaching and Gospel music. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and took pride in caring for her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching television and her show of choice was Family Feud.

Ruby is survived by her children: Sarah Goodchild (Kinsey) of Elkton, MD, Ralph Reeves (Kim) of Newark, DE, Karen Guzman of Elkton, MD, Wiley Reeves (Carmen) of Elkton, MD, and Gary Reeves (Marie) of Elkton, MD; sister, Laura Reeves of Seffner, FL; twelve grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren and one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Luther Edward Brumit and Virginia (Meadows) Brumit; husband, Geator Ralph Reeves; sons: John and Timmy Reeves; daughter, Barbara Reeves; grandchild, Jared Goodchild; and sisters: Helen Herr, Rebecca Gomez, and Janet Blevins.

A Celebration of Ruby’s life will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Such a sweet lady. I know her children and grandchildren were her life. Regretfully, I will not be able to attend services due to illness. Sending hugs..I love all of you.

Reeves family, so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. She was a sweet lady. I use to see her at Walmart. It's hard losing these wonderful women.

So sorry to hear about Cousin Ruby's death. Haven't seen her for years but have fond memories of her.
