Robert C. Ragan, of Middletown, DE passed away September 15, 2019 at the age of 90.
Son of the late W. Curtis and Hazel Ragan, Robert grew up in Conowingo, Maryland with surviving brothers, Lawrence and Donald. After time in the U.S. Army, attending the University of Delaware and Goldey-Beacom College – he went on to marry the love of his life, Agnes A. Stopyra (also surviving).
Together, they enjoyed 59 years of constant devotion while raising four grateful children including Christopher (Kate) of Havre de Grace, MD; Gregory (Angela) of Frederick, MD; Catherine of Palm Bay, FL; and Annette of Lenox, MA. He also leaves behind a granddaughter Irene as well as grandsons, Connor and Garrett Ragan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Church, 200 East Main Street, Newark, DE 19711. Interment to follow the service at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19808.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “Saint John Holy Angels Parish” and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
