Robert O. Thomas, Jr. (52) of Newark, DE passed away on August 21, 2022. Born in Wilmington, DE on June 25, 1970, he was the beloved son of Robert O. Thomas, Sr. and Tamara Rene Graham.

Bobby lived in Newark for most of his life and graduated from Newark High school, Class of 1989, making him the third generation of his family to do so. In his youth he participated in athletics and played Baseball and Soccer. After High School graduation he worked for two years in the Auto Body Repair Industry at Rittenhouse Motors. He then went on to attend Delaware Technical and Community College and completed training in Electrical Technology at the Wilmington Skills Center, graduating at the top of his class. Bobby was most recently employed by Quantum Controls, a company specializing in Electrical Preventive Maintenance. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing on his boat in the Chesapeake Bay and Maryland Rivers. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Robert O. Thomas, Sr.; aunt, Mary Louise McDowell and uncle, Robert McDowell.

Bobby is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Olan R. Thomas

A celebration of Bobby’s life will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, at 12:00pm at R. T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE. The family will begin receiving friends at 11:00am. A private interment will follow at Head of Christiana Cemetery.
