Dr. Board is one of the few professors that I remember from UD, Class of 1979. I took his vertebrate morphology class. His kindness, sincerity and compassionate manner for both his students and the curriculum itself made it easy to learn. His love for God shined through as he taught or just in casual conversation. I feel truly blessed knowing him, even for that brief time. My sincere condolences to those who had him in their lifetime.

Dear Mrs. Boord and family, Dr. Boord was a great friend and mentor to me. I remember fondly traveling to the U of DE Lewis marine lab during my graduate schools to prepare a shark for neural tracing. His help in preparing to teach my comparative vertebrate anatomy and neuroanatomy courses at Lafayette College was invaluable. He will not be forgotten. Sincerely,
James R. Dearworth Jr., Ph.D.

I will miss his gentle smile, which he shared with us every Sunday morning! Always a kind word and a sparkle in his eye, especially when he would look to Mary.

We will all meet again in the kingdom of heaven.

What a great man. So sad to hear the news. If you never played a round of golf with Bob at Newark CC you missed out on a truly great day and experience. As his guest in several events I was treated like royalty. Bob always asked about my wife and children, not to be polite, because he wanted to know. Never mattered how we finished, I always drove away thinking, wow, what a great day. I surely hope some of Mr Boord rubbed off on me. Cheers to you Bob.
