Robert E. Young Sr. of Newark, DE, age 87, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020. Robert was born on November 17, 1932 in Columbus, GA to the late B.F. Young and Alice (Andrews) Young.
Robert served in the Army from 1953-1955. He then worked as a chemist for DuPont and later was an Executive at DuPont in the Sales and Shipping of Chemicals. Robert was an Airplane Pilot Instructor and was a member of the Quiet Bird Airplane Club. Him and his wife owned a picture framing shop in Landenberg, PA called “Youngcraft Custom Picture Framing”.
Robert is survived by his wife, Gloria Young; son, Robert Young, Jr. and his companion, Beverly Ursic of Newark, DE; son, Paul Young of State College, PA; 2 grandchildren: Karla Young, Aaron Young; 1 great grandchild: Breydan Martin. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Rebecca Young.
An inurnment for Robert will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
