I taught in the classroom next door to Pat for 5 years. I learned so much from her. We shared an adjoining small planning office, and I would enjoy sitting in there during my planning period listening to her work with the students. She actually was a distraction, as I was supposed to be planning my own lessons. However, often I would pick up an idea or tip that would lead to a better lesson than I had orginally planned. I'm glad she had so many wonderful years after her retirement and such a large family to enjoy. John Bennett

Pat's legacy extends far beyond her amazing family...she touched so many lives of her students and their families. Pat always believed that she could reach each one of her students and help them become successful learners. She was a treasure.

Pat was a wonderful lady. She and I started teaching together at North East Middle in 1971, giving us a special bond as rookies, she in Special Ed, while I was the new librarian. We worked together for 20 yrs., and it was a shock to me when she retired, and I still had 10 years to go! I will be praying for the Shelton family as you say goodbye to your mother and grandmother.

My thoughts and prayers are with your whole family. I taught with Pat at North East Middle school and I have very fond memories of her. She was quite a lady. Be blessed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Chris, Cindy and Shelton family: Please accept my condolences in the loss of your mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. It has been a privilege for me to get to know you and many members of your extended family over the years, and I am very sorry for your loss. I'm sure that Patricia was the source of many of your family's admirable traits, such as generosity, kindness, and of course, a wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed, but I know she will also be remembered always. Please know that I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
