Patricia Ann Rifenburg of Chesapeake City, MD, age 77, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021. Patricia was born on September 24, 1943 in Chester, PA to the late James Joseph Gannon and Mary Patricia (Smith) Gannon.
Patricia was a Domestic Goddess, her home and family were very important to her. She was kind to everyone, was a real people person, never met a stranger. Patricia had many friends and loved each and every one of them. She was also an avid animal lover, especially dogs. Patricia was a Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved the beach.
Patricia is survived by her husband of 40 years, Joseph Rifenburg; children: Laurie Collins and her husband, Keith, Nannette Phillips, Yvonne Winslow, Karyn Bretz and her husband, Matt, Pamela Phillips, James Phillips and his partner, Kim Quinn, Samantha Martin and her husband, David, Joy VanRuler and her husband, Alex and Drew Phillips; 17 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and brother, Matthew Gannon and his wife, Louise. In addition to her parents, Patricia is preceded in death by her brothers: Robert, John, George and James Gannon.
A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 259 E. Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921 where family and friends may start visiting at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Helen F. Graham Center” or “Cecil County Animal Services” and sent in care of the funeral home.
