Nancy Mera Whisman passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in her North East, MD home. She was 60 years old. Nancy was born in Malvern, P.A. on July 13, 1958. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles L. Quann, a former police officer of the Malvern Police Force, and her mother, Kathryn A. (Pyle) Quann.
Nancy is survived by her dear, loving husband, Charles L. Whisman; her first born, Anthony “Shane” Bryan, II and his wife, Elizabeth Bryan, her second oldest, Charles L. Bryan and her one and only daughter, Oliva A. Mera-O’Connell and her husband, James O’Connell. Nancy is also survived by her sister and best friend, Linda Hudock and her husband, Joseph Hudock. Although Nancy had love for all, the real light of her life were her 6 grandchildren: Madison Taylor, Anthony Jr., James Michael, Lexi Echo, David William and Jaxson Wesley.
Nancy loved her pets who miss her and love her, her motorcycle and the Lord. Nancy will always be remembered for being the sweetest, most faithful and courageous woman that she was.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at 7pm on Friday, May 17, 2019 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911, where family and friends may visit beginning at 5:30pm. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
