Nancy Jane (White) Shirley, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Widow of Charles Shirley, she is survived by her daughter Nancy (Bob) Gilbert, sons Charles Shirley (Sue) and Richard Shirley (Marianne), 7 grandchildren, Erin, Rebecca, Robert, Charles, Joseph, Mark and Daniel, and 13 great grandchildren. Also 1 brother Ken White (Donna) and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy spent her life raising her family along with taking in many foster children that she loved as much as her own. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed boating with her husband Charles of 63 years. Her love of puzzling and embroidery kept her going all the time especially in the later years. She volunteered at Union Hospital and spent many, many years working and volunteering with Scouts. She retired from JC Penney.

Nancy loved spending time with her family and will be missed by all. May she be at peace with the Lord and all of her family who have pre-deceased her.

Services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA 19468. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to “Alzheimer’s Association” and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
