Early in the morning of June 28, 2024, Irma walked through the gates of heaven into the arms of her savior, Jesus Christ. She was born July 18, 1925 and would have been 99 years old next month. Gracious and grace-filled are words that describe her relationships with all who knew her. The only child of Ernest P. Schrader and Stella (Davis) Schrader, Irma grew up in Middletown, DE. She graduated from Delaware Hospital School of Nursing in 1947. She worked in the Delaware Hospital, served as Director of Nurses at the Methodist Country House when it first opened, and finished her career working at a doctor’s office. She met Bill Niblette on a double date and married him in 1948. They lovingly shared their lives for 58 years until Bill passed away in 2006. Irma had a servant’s heart and loved taking care of anyone in need … friends, neighbors; Cedars Methodist Church family, her children, and especially her grandchildren. In her later years she made a point to call or send cards of encouragement. Mom was so loved for her kindness and quiet wisdom. She will be greatly missed, but live on in her three children: Dr. William Niblette (Carol), Jo Ann Koon (Benjamin) and Carde Lea Pollinger (Christopher), nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be private.
