Johnny “John” Mike Ryan

Johnny Mike “John” Ryan, 76 of Colora, MD, passed away on January 2, 2022. He was born August 17, 1945 in Seymour, IN, the oldest son of Herbert E. Ryan, Jr. and Dorothy R. Ryan.

John graduated from Rising Sun High School, Class of 1963, and from Harford Junior College. After college, he married Constance Jean Graham. They recently celebrated 54 years of marriage this past August.

John had retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2013. Following retirement, he found enjoyment in working outside and gardening. He was also a big fan of Thomas Jefferson and always enjoyed visiting Monticello.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons; Matthew Aaron and his wife, Katie, of Newark, DE; Daniel Patrick and his wife, Carrie, of Quarryville, PA; and six grandchildren, Gwendolyn, Lorna, Emma, Harper, Logan, and Cassidy. He is also survived by two siblings, James A. Ryan and his wife, Christine, of Nottingham, PA; Judith R. Donnelly and her husband, Stephen, of West Grove, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter, Deborah Jean.
