Russell Bialecki left a message on November 12, 2021:
Dan was an expert pilot, patient mentor and dear friend. I loved our long discussions about the art of flying, politics and life. Dan had a keen awareness and perspective on life and was often lighthearted and a consummate optimist. His jokes were the best! He lived in and savored the moment and showed me the importance of doing the same. It’s true that you learn from your friends. I learned a lot and truly enjoyed my time, my gift, of Dan.

Dan MARINACCI left a message on November 9, 2021:
Dan took me along on one of my first EAA Chapter 240 fly outs. He absolutely refused to accept anything from me to offset his costs. He was a generous man who many at the Chapter will miss dearly. I wish his family the best dealing with the loss of their loved one. It helps knowing Dan lived a long life and left behind great genes to carry on.
Mike Parry left a message on November 8, 2021:
Very sad news, as Dan was known across the region for his love and promotion of aviation. He was an active Chapter 240 member and contributor and indeed taught several of our membership to fly, or to fly better! Our collective thoughts, condolences and best wishes to the family at this difficult time. Mike Parry President, EAA Chapter 240
