Morag Thomson Csala

Morag Thomson Csala (Scoular), age 91, of Rising Sun, Maryland, passed away surrounded by her loving family on July 3, 2025. She was born on April 21, 1934 in Springfield, Scottland to the late Alexander Scoular and Winifred Scoular (Young).

Morag had many talents that she explored through her life. Her children and grandchildren cherish the memories they have of her hand sewing their clothes, knitting or crocheting blankets and crafts. Art was another passion of hers, whether it was painting or photography, she always embraced her artistic talent. As she enjoyed the outdoors, Morag tended to her beautiful garden full of bright flowers of all kinds. She loved birdwatching, especially hummingbirds and woodpeckers. But most of all, Morag adored her family.

Morag is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Aladar Frank Csala; children: Barbara Zappia (Tom) and Thomas Csala (Candi); grandchildren: Joshua Zappia (Annalisa), Jason Zappia (Stacy), Justin Zappia (Katie), Jennifer Zappia, Thomas Csala, Jr. (Caroline), Michal Csala, James Csala, and Corey Csala; great-grandchildren: Dominic Zappia, Madison Zappia, Alana Zappia, Gabriel Zappia, and Owen Zappia; and brother, William Scoular (Carol).

Services for Morag will be held privately.
