Mitchell “Mitch” James Bolte

Mitchell “Mitch” James Bolte, age 54 of Newark, DE, passed away September 16, 2018. He was born June 12, 1964 in Wilmington, DE to Joyce M. Fair (Edwards) and the late Ralph J. Bolte.

Mitch was a professional commercial and residential painter. He was a quiet man and lived a simple life. Mitch enjoyed gardening, landscaping and the outdoors. He was an Elkton Little League “All Star.” Throughout life, Mitch continued his passion for baseball and enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Washington Nationals.

Mitch is survived by his son, Mitchell “Mitch” J. Bolte, Jr. (Elana Shoop) of Rising Sun, MD; sister, Deborah Broujos and her husband Mike of Newark, DE; sister, Donna Bolte of Newark, DE; brother, Mark Bolte of Wilmington, DE; brother, Ralph Bolte and his wife Terri of Wilmington, DE; mother, Joyce Fair and her husband Andrew Fair of Wilmington, DE; grandson, Mitchell J. Bolte III; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mitch is preceded in death by his brother, Monte J. Bolte; maternal grandparents, Paul and Stella Edwards; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Naomi Bolte; and his nephew, Matthew Bolte.

Services for Mitchell James Bolte will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to the “American Cancer Society,” and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911, P.O. Box 248.
