Milman Prettyman Jr.

Dick Prettyman, 92, passed away February 13, 2021 in Seasons Hospice at Christiana Care. Born in Seaford, DE he was the son of the late Milman and Louise (Eskridge) Prettyman.

Dick was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Gloria; daughter, Michelle Prettyman; son, Christopher Prettyman; grandchildren: Dian and Eric; and sister, Suzanne Potts of Hudson, OH

Dick was a graduate of Seaford High School and University of Delaware class of 1950, and was a lifetime member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Dick was a successful realtor in Newark for many years, was honored as Realtor of the year in 1981, was president for the DE Association of Realtors in 1985 and was inducted in the DE Realtors Hall of Fame in March 2002. He retired as the Executive Director of the DE Association of the Realtors, in 1992.

Dick enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, especially to Grand Cayman, attending University of DE sport events, Special Olympics and playing bridge.
