Michael R. Lewis, Sr., 28, of Seaford, DE, passed away at home Monday, September 7, 2015. Born on July 6, 1987 in Elkton, MD, Michael was the son of Harriet Lewis and the late Tom Ellis.
Michael worked for Unicon, Inc, where he was a chicken catcher. He loved his job, as well as shooting pool, riding motorcycles and ATVs, and watching Ravens football games, Michael’s most cherished times were spent with his family and having a good time with his children.
Michael is survived by his fiancé, Amy Blackburn of Port Deposit, MD; 5 sons, Tyler Mayberry, Michael Blackburn, Mark Blackburn, Nathan Blackburn, and Michael Lewis, Jr.; 2 daughters, Hailey Blackburn and Mackenzee Kennedy; mother Harriet Lewis, of Elkton, MD; sister Tammy Theuer of Seaford, DE; brother, Pete Lewis of Elkton; 2 nieces, Desiree Lewis and Lakeesha Lewis; 1 nephew, Levi Lewis; 2 great nephews, Jordin Collins and Jaydin Allen; grandfather, john Lewis, of Elkton, MD; an uncle, Pete Lewis, of Elkton; and 2 aunts, Candice Lewis and Barbadette David.
In addition to his father, Michael is preceded in death by his grandmother, Janet Lewis, and his uncle, Rea Lewis.
A service honoring Michael’s life will be held at 2 pm on Monday September 14, 2015 at R.T, Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921, where family and friends may visit beginning at 1 pm. Burial will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made payable to the Michael Rea Lewis Memorial fund care of Tammy Theuer, 25536 Janice drive, Seaford, DE 19973.
