Michael Edward Finn, age 69 of Rising Sun, MD passed away on January 11, 2018. He was born on July 14, 1948 in Baltimore, MD to the late James Edward Finn and Emma M. (Lovell) Finn.
Michael was a proud graduate of University of Maryland where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice in 1974. Michael served his country as a proud United States Marine for four years and served in two tours in Vietnam. Many will remember him for being a handy man. He was great at fixing things and was considered a “mini entrepreneur”. Michael and his family built the crab shack in Rising Sun, MD and he helped his wife, Pam create her own hair salon. Michael was the founder of Roof Vac where he owned and operated his own business for 20 years. He loved learning about his family tree and would spend quality time with his family while researching and learning about their ancestors.
Michael is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pam Finn, originally from Baltimore and now from Rising Sun, MD; son, Jonathan Coldiron of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Jennifer Finn McGettigan and her husband, Jay of Rising Sun, MD; son, James Edward Finn and his wife, Brittany of Rising Sun, MD; brother, Patrick Finn and his wife, Joanna of CA; sister, Iris Campbell and her husband, Harry of Glen Rock, PA; and grandchildren: LillyRose, Dylan, Lucas, and Alyssa.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved aunt, Patsy Clark.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 from 6:00-8:00pm at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 12:00pm at the funeral home with a one hour prior visitation.
