Margaret “Maggie” Kitts of Elkton, MD, age 75, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021. She was born in Avondale, WV on May 21, 1946 to the late Auburn Paul Casteel and Zennia (Gwaltney) Casteel.

Maggie was opinionated, always knew the latest news and loved to gossip. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Maggie is survived by two children: Sandy Jones and her husband, Roy, and Steven Blackwell; 11 grandchildren; 6 honorary-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. Her best friend of 53 years Sally Hodgson and a special niece Anita Smith and many, many more nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by a son Larry Lee Kitts and ten siblings: Aurbur Casteel, Thelma Winters, Lois Beavers, Viginia Ann Asbury, Earl Casteel, James Casteel, Maxine Blackwell, Wanda Testerman, Betty Smith and Larry Casteel.

A graveside service for Maggie will be held at 2pm on Monday, January 31, 2022 at Elkton Cemetery.
