Mary Lee Barr of Newark, DE, age 80, a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ passed away Sunday, Resurrection day, April 4, 2021. Mary was born on September 13, 1940 in Johnson City, TN to the late William and Betty Nunley.
Mary worked for European Exchange System at the Palace of Justice while she was in Germany with her husband. Later she worked at University of Delaware in the cafeteria and then as a bus driver for 30 years until her retirement. Mary was a very giving person who put others before herself and instinctively did so. She cherished and loved spending time with all of her family and friends and her home was her greatest joy.
Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerry Barr; son, David Barr; brother, Daniel Nunley and several nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her brothers: David and Elmer Nunley.
Services for Mary will be held privately.

My heartfelt condolences to all the Family. I grew up in Chestnut Hill on the corner of Davies Rd. I would often be found at your house playing/spending the night with one of your nieces (her name eludes me now, been so many years passed). Ms Mary and I also worked driving school buses together, as a matter of fact Ms Mary got and trained me for driving a bus. I am sure and Mary will be missed. Prayers to all & Love n Light.
