Margaret Jean Berg was surrounded by family when she passed on January 25, 2021. She was born May
12, 1944, in Bel Air, Maryland, to Clifford and Ruth Townsley.
Margaret (Jeanie to her family) spent many years as a successful hair stylist and accountant. She worked as an accountant for 7 years with her daughter Patricia Wagner at her accounting firm, Wagner & Associates, CPA, LLC.
Jeanie was the glue that helped hold the family together. She was always very loving and helpful to her family and she spent much time researching the ancestry of the family. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her mother who passed away at age 97, and her
brother who passed away at 72 in 2019.
She was an active member of Reformation Bible Church and her faith was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by Clifford & Ruth Townsley, her sister Joan Townsley, her brother Tommy Townsley, and her husband Nelson Berg. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Wagner and her husband Jim Taylor of Rising Sun, Maryland, as well as a grandson, James Wagner. She is also survived by her niece, Angela (Bob) Dashner of IA, nephews Gene Valore of PA, Michael (Kara) Valore of PA, Kenneth (Andrea) Townsley of FL, & Thomas (Bri) Townsley II of DE.
At this time, a private funeral will be held with a private memorial service to be held in the future.
