Lucille Marie (Webb) Perkins, age 87, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Born on December 14, 1938, in Elkton, MD, Lucille was the loving daughter of the late Claude Howard Webb, and the late Matilda (Croff) Webb.
Lucille lived a life marked by kindness, patience, and loving devotion to others. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend whose life reflected grace in both the simple and the remarkable moments. Lucille married the love of her life, Orlie Rex Perkins, known to many as Rex, at the age of 15, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, loyalty and shared memories. Lucille worked as a Secretary at Perry Point until the birth of her daughter, then she embraced the role of homemaker, pouring her heart into creating a loving and welcoming home.
One of Lucille’s greatest joys was cake decorating and baking, and was known for her beautiful creations. She shared her talent generously, teaching multi generations how to decorate cakes and passing along both skill and tradition. Lucille’s faith and fellowship were a very important part of who she was. Those who knew Lucille will remember her with deep affection for her devotion to her family, friends, church and community.
Lucille is survived by her daughter, Laura Marie O’Neil (husband, Wayne); siblings: Howard Lee Webb, Kirk Lewis Webb, and Mary Lou Jackenson, and her long-time friend and companion, Wayne “Jerry” Erickson.
In addition to her parents, Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Orlie Rex Perkins, her sisters-in-law’s Shirley Webb, Patricia Webb and many of God’s creatures, including her beloved Abby.
