Lee Edward Martin

Lee Edward Martin, age 58 of Newark, DE passed away on May 20, 2024. He was born on October 8, 1965 in Jefferson City, MO to the late Charles Edward Martin and Margaret (Claydon) Martin.

Lee graduated from Elkton High School in 1984 and went on to serve in the United States Army from 1984-1992. He trained as a Military Police Officer and a Medic for a special response team. Lee was honorably discharged after serving for eight years and worked at MBNA as a security guard. He later went on to work as a security guard at Delaware City Refinery.

Lee is survived by his wife, Kathleen B. Martin; son, Edward Martin; daughter, Sarah Martin; and brother, James Martin.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.

Condolences to Lee's family. He gave me many great memories and is too soon gone.

Lee was more than a brother-in-law to me: he was a true friend and his kind personality will truly be missed. He always cared about us, even so we live far away, and he also was a great uncle to Joshua.

I met Lee while traveling to the US in 1988 and 1993. He was very friendly and we had a lot of fun. My condolences to the family.

I have lost my oldest and closest friend , Lee my brother . Lee was always the better younger brother to me, than I was an older brother to him . >He will be truly missed . I am heart broken that he is gone .I will see you again Little Bro.
