Laura Ann Meyer, BSN, R.N. (66) of Elkton, MD passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021. Born on June 6, 1955 in Iowa Falls, IA she was the daughter of the late Richard Lee and Mary Ann (Gibson) Davenport and the devoted and loving wife of William Meyer, Ph.D.
Before she retired, Laura worked as a Registered Nurse in Women’s Health. For Laura, nursing was more than a career, it was a calling. She absolutely loved caring and attending to her patients. Laura also loved the great outdoors. She always had a glass of iced tea in hand as she enjoyed “glamping” in her RV, swimming in the ocean and her pool (and not anyone’s pool, just her pool). Laura was a great cook, baker and skilled at many crafts: drawing, painting, and sewing to name a few. The family has many happy memories of how Laura combined her creative talents to make every Holiday a truly special event. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Laura is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, William Meyer, Ph.D.; two daughters: Letha Moszer and her husband Aaron, Meghan Covert and her husband Tommy; son, Sean Meyer; five grandchildren: Greyson, Asher, Maddox, Maddy and Jaxon; two brothers: Chris Davenport and his wife Kim, Chuck Davenport; sister, Deb Bosovich and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
