Kenneth Keith Karr II of Johnson City. TN and Park Hill, OK, peacefully went home to be with the Lord the morning of June 17, 2025, one month from his 78th birthday. He succumbed to ischemic heart failure.
Kenneth was a Christian and a member of the Boone Trail Baptist Church, Johnson City, TN. He was Veteran of the U. S. Army, serving 20 yrs., 2 mos., 21 days as Military Police, Sgt. First Class in vehicle maintenance and recovery, and a paratrooper with the 82nd airborn. He served two tours in Vietnam, Korea, Germany, Washington, DC, and Ft Bragg, NC. Kenny was an avid traveler, with he and Faye having been to all 48 continuous states on his Honda Trike. He visited Alaska and the Bahamas several times, zip lined in Costa Rica, sailed the Panama Canal, and rode Segways in Hawaii. He vacationed in Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, Canada, and Europe several times. Kenneth was a master dulcimer maker, heavy truck and equipment operator, a watch tinker and collector, and loved his remote control vehicles and Hess Truck collection. He also was an actor in the “Signing of the Sycamore Shoals Treaty” reenactment at Sycamore Shoals State Park in Elizabethton, TN.
Preceding him in death was his second wife, Sharon Yates Anglero and her son, Peter Anglero of Rising Sun, MD. Also preceding him in death was his mother, Roxie Ellen Taylor of Hulbert, OK, and his father, Kenneth Keith Karr I, of Lousiana.
Surviving Kenneth is his wife Faye Swiney Karr of Gray, TN. He is survived by his daughter, Roshell “Shelly” Karr Wurm, her husband, Stanton Wurm of Lebo, KS; his son, Benjamin “Ben” Karr and their mother, Rhynell Marie Stoabs of Winfield, KS. Also surviving is Sharon Karr’s daughter, Elizabeth “Franny” Anglero Kennedy, and husband, Joey Kennedy of Byrdstown, TN.
Surviving Kenneth are his grandchildren: Trevor Brown and Kristen Rivers; Dalton and Alexandria Wurm Shaffer, Victoria Wurm; Braden and MacKenzie Karr Conklin, Mika Karr and Jacob Jamieson, and MaKayla Karr; Katie Anglero and Kyle Yonkovitch, Cody Anglero and Shelby Lynn; Austin Anglero, Devon Thomas, Aiden and Peyton Anglero-Bundick.
Kenneth’s surviving great grandchildren are Zayn Ryan and Zyler Ray Rivers, Reese Karr, and Crew Caiden Anglero.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home, Jonesborough, TN with Pastors Zack Smith and Jeff Alford officiating. A Visitation will be held from 5:00PM to 7:00PM prior to the service.
Additional services and burial will be held at 1:00 PM, June 23, 2025, at Brookview Cemetery in Rising Sun, MD with the services of R T Foard Funeral Home.
