She was an outstanding cook who would stay in the kitchen all day to ensure the meals she was preparing were just right and delicious. Members of her family would call her Mrs. Cook -A- Lot. She met SFC Michael Burrell in Mannheim Germany and married him on 30 May 1997 in Denmark. Being a Military Spouse, her journey took her to numerous duty stations that included, Fort Bliss, Texas while her husband attended the Sergeants Majors Academy, Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Fort Eustis, Virginia. Until her husband retired from the Army and moved to Middletown New Jersey and finally to Elkton, Maryland until the day God took her home.
Not being much of a sports enthusiastic she enjoyed going to her grandson’s football games on Saturdays and Sundays cheering on the team with her loud mouth husband and her blow horn and Gluwine for the other mothers during those really cold days. She loved her two dogs Romeo and Juliette that followed her everywhere throughout the house while doing the house wife duties of the day. She also enjoyed all of her close friends that were like family during cookouts, and numerous celebrations throughout the years.
