Joshua Michael Meehan, age 24, of Rising Sun, MD was taken to meet his Lord and Savior November 30, 2018. He was born on September 23, 1994 in Elkton, MD to Bonnie and Jack Meehan.
Joshua was a graduate of Rising Sun High School class of 2013. He played tennis in high school, travel soccer and learned to play the piano at a young age. He also enjoyed snowboarding and creating innovative designs. His heart was full of love for others and especially his family. His laughter was contagious. He loved raising animals from bearded dragons, chickens and goats to rare species of fish. Joshua had a limitless quest for knowledge and was currently taking classes at Cecil College while working in the athletic department. He was undeniably bright. Joshua was a certified medical assistant and did some modeling part-time. He loved the Lord and desired others to share in that love.
In addition to his parents, Joshua is survived by his sister, Ashly Maska and her husband Rick of Rising Sun, MD; sister, Katie Diller and her husband Vincent of Lancaster, PA; and maternal grandparents, Ray and Gloria Geesaman of Quarryville, PA. He is also survived by his four nephews, Chase Maska, Nolan Maska, Oliver Maska, and Malachi Diller and his dog Dasher who was his constant companion. Joshua is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Lois Meehan.
A celebration of Joshua Michael Meehan’s life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Grace Bible Chapel, 1949 Joseph Biggs Memorial Highway, Rising Sun, MD 21911. Family and friends are invited to visit with the family at 10 a.m. and a service to celebrate Joshua’s life will follow at 11 a.m. Inurnment will follow at Brookview Cemetery in Rising Sun, MD.
