Dig & Shirley were like parents to me growing up. Andrea and I have great memories growing up together. Something that still warms my heart today. There was always Christmas presents, Easter Baskets and ice cream for me. They treated me like their own. My heart goes out to Andrea and I wish I could be there to help her shoulder this loss. When I think of Dig and Shirley, I have nothing but wonderful memories.

My Uncle John

I'm sorry my Uncle John, is no longer with us
I may have never spent a lot of time with you
Truly, this is my loss

I remember, you and I talking on the C.B radio
Stopping by your house on my way home
Seeing your Radio set up
Driving you and another Uncle to the C.B Radio shop
Because Short cuts around Delaware
Was one thing, I knew how to do

For a short window in time
I felt like, one of the guys
I wish there had been more of those days

Goodbye, for now Uncle John
You will be missed
