She is survived by her brother, Earl Melrath Jr.; sister, Patty (David); companion and caregiver, Eddie Dunfee; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many cousins and friends. She is predeceased in death by her sister, Terrye Melrath Compton.

She loved all genres of music from country to rock; her favorite being Guns N Roses, and of course the Melrath theme song, Family Tradition. She loved all animals and had a wide variety of pets over the years including dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and even a gecko. Her favorite pastimes were drawing and writing poetry.

A memorial for Jodi will be held on Sunday, April 23rd from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Police, Fire, Rod & Gun Club, 100 Linstone Avenue, New Castle, DE.

so many happy childhood memories of me and Jodi!! to playing baseball in "the orchard" with earl, to hanging out at petes shoe shop!! and hiding under the bleachers at school smoking. rest in peace my friend,party on!!

Due to the distance I will be unable to attend the services, but I will miss Jodi dearly. I grew up with her as my neighbor on Myrtle Street in Oxford and I have many memories with her. She was a one of a kind gal and she will be dearly missed. Thoughts and prayers for Earl and Patty.

So sorry for your loss. I remember Jodi always making us laugh when I was younger hanging out with her niece Stacie at her sisters (Terrye's) house. She will definitely be missed!

You are all in my thoughts and prayers! Hard to believe that Jodi is gone! May she Rest In Peace and no longer suffering. Even tho we all went our separate ways to live our lives I will never forget all of us always meeting at mom-moms to hang out at family events growing up and will always cherish them.
