Jeannine Marie Brackin, age 84, of Lake Wales, FL, passed away on July 27, 2025. She was born on February 28, 1941, in Newark, DE to the late James Spence Sr. and Mildred Spence (Haug).

Jeannine worked for Avon for 26 years and spent her retirement traveling to Florida and making jewelry. She adored her family. Spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was something she cherished. One thing everyone knew about Jeannine was that she loved the outdoors. It didn’t matter if she was camping, traveling, boating, sightseeing historic sites or relaxing at Bethany Beach, she was happy with a smile on her face.

Jeannine is survived by her children: Ronald R. Brackin of Lake Wales, Fl, Cherie M. Lewis and her husband Jody of Newark, DE, and Darlene R. Hayden and her significant other Tilghman M. Burns of Townsend, DE; grandchildren: Michael E. Treut and his wife Stacey of Middletown, DE, Tiffany D. Ondich and her husband Rob of Florence, SC, Bryan R. Lewis and his wife Jackie of Elkton, MD, Richard F. Lewis IV of Newark, DE, and Ronald R. Brackin Jr. and his wife Cassandra of Dundee, FL; 13 great-grandchildren; and brother, James H. Spence Jr. of Ocean View, DE. In addition to her parents, Jeannine is preceded in death by her brother, John E. Spence Sr. of Newark, DE.

A celebration of life for Jeannine will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 11:00AM at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street Newark, DE 19711, where friends and family may begin visiting at 10:00AM. A burial at Newark Cemetery will follow.
