James Steven Dunman

James Steven Dunman, age 62 of Conowingo, MD passed away on April 5, 2026. He was born on August 29, 1963 at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D.C. to Elisabeth (Horvath) Dunman and the late William H. Dunman.

James, also known as Jim, Dad, Mr. Jim, Grandpa, Pops, and Jygiver was loved and admired by many. He was a humble man who had a big heart. Jim’s greatest joy in life was working on motorcycles and attending competitions with his sons, Dakota and Dalton. He loved building cars with his sons and attending car shows and car races. He was fascinated by the history of engines and machines. When Jim wasn’t tinkering with cars and motorcycles, he enjoyed camping and traveling, always seeking new places to explore. His sons were his adventure companions, and he was extremely proud of the men they have become.

Jim is survived by his wife, Mary Dunman; sons: Dakota Dunman and his wife, Hannah and Dalton Dunman and his fiancé, Olivia Dixon; grandchildren: Maverick Dunman and Eleanor Dunman; mother, Elisabeth Dunman; brother, William H. Dunman, Jr. and his wife, Karen; and sisters: Laura Dunman and Betty Taylor.

Services for Jim will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to “Helen F. Graham Cancer Center” and send in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., P.O. Box 248, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
