Danny Keesee and I are sending our deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved Jim. We were neighbors for 40 years and not many have a good neighbor like him. We called him "Hoover" as he and Judy (wife) had a cleaning business when they moved next door! I could write a book on this man! His obituary sums it up - agitator and instigator with a smile!!! We certainly enjoyed many good times together. The neighbor guys and friends often caught down in the garage shooting the 'bull' with a beer! He liked to stay busy. Still was driving at 91 and mowing his yard. Attached picture was just last September of him putting a roof on his little shed. We gave him 'heck' but it didn't stop him! I have to tell this story because 'he' told everyone about it. Jim was gone for several days to help his brother on a project. He did not let me know and I was worried sick when his car was gone for two days. In fact, I was getting ready to call the cops. He didn't answer his phone (which was not unusual!) Anyway, when he did get home, I marched over to his house and gave him a 'reaming out'! I took a picture of his car and license plate#. He said his brother told him to call us and let us know he was at his place. I told him his brother was right!!! We laughed many times about that incident later!! Jim was lucky to have good neighbors and friends. Gerri worked with him and Judy years ago and faithfully cooked, visited him and talked to him on phone. He always had someone to harass! Dear Becky was always there for him and Judy too-I told her she was an angel in disguise. I know he personally thought the world of both of them. Now we all must go on without our 'friend'. Life will never be the same. I keep looking next door for him, will always have a 'daily' reminder of our dear friend and neighbor. Boy am I going to miss him. With deepest sadness and sympathy . Sandy
